A Till Number (Buy Goods) is used for direct retail payments — customers pay and money goes directly to your M-PESA. A Paybill allows customers to enter an account number, making it ideal for utilities, schools, rent, and businesses needing to reconcile payments to individual accounts.

A business bank account is required for Paybill registration (for settlement). Till Numbers can be linked to a personal M-PESA float or a business account. We'll advise you on the best setup for your business.

A Till Number can be activated in 3–5 business days. A Paybill typically takes 5–10 business days subject to Safaricom's vetting process. We manage the entire application and follow up on your behalf.
